The Tam Coc & Ninh Binh trip was a enjoyable day out with 2 kids. The pickup from hotel was on dot time and out guide Tuyen was very knowledgeable and kept us enaged. We saw a 1000 year old temple, had a buffet lunch, did cycling around paddy fields and finally had a river cruise along the mountains similar to Halong bay. The river cruise was the highlight while the cycling was quite enjoyable. Great way to learn Vietnamese culture and meet local people who are very friendly and humble.
The only irritant is the number of unsolicited people taking your photographs and making albums to get money off you.
